What is faith confession?

21 Days of Positive and Faith Confessions | Rule Your World by Your Words

There is a how-to get what you want in your life. Until you find out how to get it, life remains a mystery to you. There’s nothing you do to get your desires realized that is not worth it provided they are legitimate things. God remains the best consultant that can give us the right methods by which life must be approached.

God has put the power to rule the world and govern the system in the spoken word. So that as we make confession of faith in line with God’s word, we get our desired result. God’s way is different from man’s way. If you prescribe a method to a man and it’s not logical to his thinking, man will turn it down.

Man loves to engage in anything physical or mechanical but God is not like that. God made everything that could be seen in the universe through the spoken word. He has also made man to function at the same frequency as Him. When a man makes a confession of faith, the power of God will show up to come into the matter of concern. By your word, you will be condemned, by your word you will be justified.

Faith confession is the utterances that are in alignment with the written word of God or the revelation of the Spirit. “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13″). Making pronouncements that are not informed by circumstances but by the word of God is a prophetic declaration.

God has a program for every area of your life. His plans are written in His word. A believer must apply diligence to find out what has been written and convert them to power through his mouth. It is how you convert the written word into the living or power word. The word of God remains in a state of inertia until it is activated through speaking.

One of the importance of making confessions of faith is that it sets the power of God in motion in your life.

Speaking the word is a sign of faith. Faith has not started until speaking has started. If you truly believe, then your belief must reflect through your speaking. The spirit of faith is a speaking spirit saying the same thing as God.

Saying the same thing as God is the only way you can position yourself to get God’s kind of results. If your utterances are in negation to the word of God, you’ll abort your results. Faith declarations should be your routine.

The situations around your life may not have looked like what you wanted or what God has said concerning your life but you can always put the word of God in your mouth to correct them and bring them in subjection to the will of God.

No defect is beyond the corrective power of the word. It doesn’t matter how much damage Satan has committed around your life, if you can partner with the word in a daily declaration, the changes will be pragmatic.

Faith Confessions

Faith is confessing the word over your life. You see, God is an intentional God, He doesn’t have an unplanned program. Everything He does is well-intended and planned, with no accidental event.

There is a word for every area of your life if you can be diligent to search them out and begin to declare them on daily basis, your life will start looking like the word. It could be over your business, ministry, family, career, or your walk with God.

The word of God is a seed. It is planted through speaking. It’s risky to leave any area of your life to the mercy of the wind. Any area of your life that is not saturated with the word of God will be tossed by the wind of life. Declaration of Faith helps you plant your exact desires into specific areas of your life without leaving anything to chance. If you don’t plant your seeds, weeds will grow.

Bible says, “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, “Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’He said to them, “An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, “Do you want us then to go and gather them up?” (Mathew 13:24-28).

This is what happens if you are a sleeping believer. You’re said to be sleeping when you stop confessing the word over your life. Confession of faith is how to keep the garden of your life secured and protected from the intruder. Satan is busy moving around to plant troubles, afflictions, and anguish on careless soil.

Any life that doesn’t maintain a consistent declaration of faith over his life is careless soil and fertile soil for Satan to cultivate. You must keep proclaiming abundant confessions, confessions for protection, confessions for victory, and prosperity confessions to keep enjoying them.

The word of God is at your disposal. It will take you nothing to study it and lift out specific scriptures to protect your garden, plant the seed you desire, and watch it grow through continual daily faith pronouncement.

You’re to maintain your confession regularly until you see your desire sprout in the garden of your life. It’s not sufficient to start in faith, you must continue in faith to have an enviable result in your life. You are ruled by your confessions.

How Do You Write a Personal Confession of Faith?

It’s a question in the heart of many; How do you write a personal confession of Faith? If this is your heart question, I have you in mind and I’m here to guide you on how to structure a powerful faith confession to supervise every area of your life. Personal confessions and prayers avail much if you can be committed.

Having defined confession of faith is, as speaking the word of God over your life to make you get the word results, then, let’s check how we can achieve that end.

If you must write a personal confession of faith, you need to be well-versed in the scriptures through diligent reading. Scriptures are not known as the gift of nature or the gift of the Spirit, they are to be deliberately read for knowledge. When you want to structure a confession over your life, the Holy Spirit is there to travel you through the scriptures you have known and He will activate your memory to remember the word.

Mind you, the Holy Spirit will not impact the word on you, Holy Spirit will only remind you of the word you’ve once read. Holy Spirit is not sent to read the word for you, He’s sent to remind you of the word you’ve read. If it’s not in your archive, it cannot pop up in time of need. It will be wise of a believer to be addicted to reading the word before the time of need comes.

If you are a student of the word of God, congratulations! If you are not a student of the word, you can start today by making a routine out of reading and studying the word. You cannot wait to develop intimacy with the scriptures. The scriptures are God’s handwriting to you to help you function successfully in every area of your life. Start reading today!

To write a personal profession of faith, do the following.

1. FINDING THE WORD: “Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts” (Jeremiah 15:16). Searching for the word that suits the area of interest is your number one assignment. Look for the scripture that addresses that area of life that you want to write a confession about.

For example, it’s for your marriage and family life, there are scriptures that host God’s promises for that. Find them out by reading the scripture. If it is about your finances or businesses, there are scriptures meant for that. Your mobile bible application can also serve as an aid to help you find the word. You can also search through the internet search engine.

2. WRITE the scriptures down: Put your discovery in writing. Write down what you have found and make visual contact with them.

3. MEDITATE on the word: This is where you mix the word with faith in your heart. The word is not effective unless mixed with faith. Think about the word pensively until you understand the mode of application. Don’t rush on it, take time to dwell on the word you have found.

4. BUILD your confession line with the word you have found: I will show this in the latter subheadings. You need to develop confession from the word you have found.

5. START speaking what you’ve written down: The power of the word is activated through speaking. As you speak, you make power available.

Positive Confessions from the Bible

Positive Confessions from the Bible
Positive Confessions from the Bible

The Bible is a compendium of faith-filled words that must be efficiently used by each believer to draw personal confessions of faith for their lives. Every character in the bible who had encounters with God tangibly were men who aligned their speeches with God’s speech even when the circumstances negate their utterances. The ability to keep saying what was revealed to them as their realities were what changed their lives forever. I will show you some positive confessions from the bible.

1. Abraham: This man was a typical example of a practical demonstration of faith. God had promised him to be the father of many nations. This took Abraham several years to come into this experience but He followed God until it did.

“(As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed–God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” (Romans 4:17-18).

God had named Abraham the father of many nations even though he had not yet fathered a singular child. The situations around his life opposed what was spoken by God. How could you be named the father of many nations when you had no child? That’s very illogical! The fact that it’s not logical doesn’t it’s not real. Spiritual confession doesn’t have to sound logical to the human senses.

What was exactly Abraham’s disposition before God? Bible says He was not weak in faith, He did not waiver at God’s promises, He was strong in faith, and He was giving glory to God and saying the same thing as He is. That’s how to get it done! Eventually, he became the father of many nations as God had promised him. Glory to God!
“And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform”(Romans 4:19-21).

2. Shunammite Woman: There was another woman in the bible who used a positive confession to change her situation. This Shunammite woman had been without a son and the husband was old. The man of God Elisha issued a decree that, “Then he said, About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant! But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her” (2 Kings 4:16-17).

The long-awaited child grew up, got ill one day, and gave up just like that. What a tragedy! “And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers. And he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother. When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died”(2 Kings 4:18-20).

The mother demonstrated a faith life that is worth studying and emulating. Everything had already gone wrong obviously, she needed a reversal and correction over the matter. The woman took the child and laid her on the bed of the man of God and requested a donkey from her husband. The husband inquired about her whereabouts, she replied, “It is well”. What a woman of faith! She didn’t cast the bad news, she only proclaimed her desire.

Faith doesn’t proclaim what it sees, it proclaims what it wants to see. When what you are seeing negates your expectations, then proclaim what you want to see. If only you will make the word of God the confession of your life, your victory will be certain.

“Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.” So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.” (2 Kings 4: 22-23).

The woman took off to meet the man of God, “And so she departed, and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! Please run now to meet her, and say to her, “Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?”‘ And she answered, “It is well.” ( 2 Kings 4:25-26).

This woman maintained a steady confession until her condition changed. Neither the husband nor the Gehazi was told what went wrong. It’s not everybody that deserves the details of your challenges. Some of them will deactivate your faith if you dare divulge your challenges to them and you will lose the capacity to reverse the situations. It’s better to mind someones that can do something about your challenges. Do not register yourself for pity in the wrong place.

“Then he said to Gehazi, “Get yourself ready, and take my staff in your hand, and be on your way. If you meet anyone, do not greet him; and if anyone greets you, do not answer him; but lay my staff on the face of the child.” And the mother of the child said, “As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So he arose and followed her (2 Kings 4:29-30).

The man of God sent his servant to go on his behalf but the Shunammite woman refused to leave the man of God until he followed her.

“And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. And he called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite woman.” So he called her. And when she came into him, he said, “Pick up your son.” So she went in, fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground; then she picked up her son and went out” (2 kings 4:34-37).

After all, is said and done by the man of God. The child came back to life and he was delivered to his mother. The initial confession of the woman became her final experience. She said, ‘it is well’, and eventually, it was well. Your words are needed in bringing correction to everything that has gone wrong in your life. Things may not be going right, but keep saying the right word no matter what. It’s just a matter of time, everything will align with your word. Let your word go before you and pave way for you.

3. Job: “Though He slays me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him. He also shall be my salvation, For a hypocrite could not come before Him” (Job 13:15-16).

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” (Job 19: 25-27).

4. Habakkuk: “Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments” ( Habakkuk 3:17-19).

5. Paul the Apostle: “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day” ( 2 Timothy 1:12).

Faith Confessions for Healing

This is about taking the healing scriptures and building your confession from them. This is as powerful as using medicine to treat yourself.

Bible likens the word of God to medicine. It can bring health to anyone who finds it. “For they are life to those who find them And health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:22). If you find the word of God regarding your health and you administer it through your mouth, you’ll undoubtedly see your health spring forth like the noonday.

Begin by giving thanks to God for granting you healing through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Give him thanks sufficiently for your iniquity that was laid on Him. Then you can begin your declarations.

It’s written, “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee” (Exodus 23:25).

Because I’m a servant of God and His beloved child, my bread and water and all my diets are blessed. They are bringing health and vitality to my body. Sickness and diseases are rebuked for my sake in the name of Jesus Christ.

It’s written, “And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, ……” (Deuteronomy 7:15).

All the terrible diseases of this world are taken away from my territory and abode. They shall neither come nigh me nor my dwelling place because I’m covered by the blood of Lamb.

It’s written, “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed” ( Isaiah 53:4-5)

“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses” (Mathew 8:17).

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus has been wounded by my transgressions and has been wounded for my Iniquities and I have been healed by His stripes. The life of Jesus is infused into my body, correcting every defect and anomaly in my body. The blood of Jesus is injected into my bloodstream flushing out every foreign agent that constitutes a threat to my health. The blood makes it impossible for the sickness to gain entry into my body, I’m immune to diseases in the name of Jesus.

Jesus already paid for my total healing, I will not pay a dime over health issues. I shall not spend my life on diseases because Jesus paid for it all. I’m quickened and vitalized by the life of Jesus within me in the name of Jesus.

Thank you father for healing my body permanently in the name of Jesus.

My name is ( ———————————-); a blood-bought son of the living God.

Because of His blood, I decree that I’m blessed irrevocably. I’m programmed to be EVERY TIME winner of all the fights of life.

I belong to the King’s class who stop things but nothing can stop.

My victory is not under negotiation, it’s settled eternally in God.

I’m beyond defeat, I’m the blessed of the Lord.

I don’t have unfortunate situations in my life, I’m always fortunate no matter what comes may!

I’m set on the path of advantages and daily blessings. My life is a house of glory. I demonstrate His stupendous riches and excellence.

I don’t have an inherited curse, I only have an inherited blessing which is my daily experience.

I don’t belong to the poor masses, I belong to the first-class citizen of the earth enjoying life without limits, affording all manners of luxuries on earth as I wait for my catching up and glorification while I execute His project on earth with every proceed of blessings in my hands, giving joy to humanity and advancing the kingdom of God aggressively with ocean-like prosperity coupled with signs and wonders

I function in sound health and peace in my body. I’m too covered by the blood to be located by disasters ravaging the world. I’m always safe either on Land, Air, or Sea.

The seal of the Lord of Host has performed this even before my arrival into this world. I praise Him for this. Amen!

You have just interacted with a powerful faith declaration. The just shall live faith. The faith of a Christian is reflected through speaking. Faith remains dormant unless activated by words. You will place your life on continual advantages if you can maintain consistency in the profession of faith.
